Julie Mercadante, M.A. CCC-slp
Hi! I’m Julie Mercadante, a licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Juniper Speech Therapy, LLC in Phoenix, AZ. As a holistic SLP, I believe in looking at the whole body when treating Myofunctional, Speech, and Feeding Disorders because lasting progress happens when we address the root cause, not just the symptoms.
With over 25 years of experience, I bring a comprehensive perspective to every child I work with. I continue to expand my knowledge through advanced training in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders and Feeding Therapy to ensure each child receives individualized, evidence-based care.

At Juniper Speech Therapy, we specialize in the evaluation and treatment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs). An OMD can affect a child’s ability to speak, eat, breathe, and sleep.
Our Myofunctional Therapy approach focuses on strengthening oral musculature, correcting swallow patterns, establishing nasal breathing, and improving overall speech intelligibility.
We believe in finding the root cause of your child’s oral dysfunction, not just treating the symptoms. Our evaluations look at all aspects of speech, feeding, swallowing, and breathing to design a holistic, individualized plan that meets your child’s unique needs.

We’re a private pay practice that accepts cash, check, credit, or HSA cards, and we’re happy to provide superbills for insurance reimbursement. As an approved AZ ESA vendor, we can also accept direct payments through ClassWallet.
